Abstract
With the increasing use of mobile phones, mHealth has grown to be a very promising subject. However, mHealth programs haven't been widespread in many countries, especially in developing countries. Health-related phone applications, and in particular diabetes-related mobile apps, are gaining more popularity by the day. Yet, there are still some concerns about the safety and effectiveness of these apps. In this short commentary, we will discuss the simple uses of mobile phones and how they can contribute to the communication between patients and health professional providers. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V.
