Abstract
There is increasing evidence that vitamin D deficiency may contribute to hypertension. Low vitamin D levels are associated with an increased risk of high blood pressure, and studies have shown that vitamin D supplementation can help lower blood pressure. However, more research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms by which vitamin D regulates blood pressure and to determine the optimal dosage for supplementation. Nevertheless, ensuring adequate vitamin D levels through diet or supplements may be essential for preventing and managing hypertension. © 2023 The Author(s); Published by Nickan Research Institute.
