Rehabilitation Methods for the Management of Skin Diseases

Abstract

Timely, diagnosis and quick and effective treatment of skin diseases prevent the development and even relapse of diseases. Rehabilitation therapy often has the opportunity to observe exposed areas of the body, and knowledge of the characteristics of benign and pathologic skin lesions may facilitate referral for further evaluation and diagnosis and treatment when appropriate. Therefore, in this review article, various rehabilitation methods to help the treatment effect were investigated. The information was obtained from 65 articles published in PubMed, SciELO, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science databases (1937-2024). Search terms used were "Rehabilitation Therapy" AND "Physical Therapy" AND "Occupational therapy" AND "Skin Diseases". The data showed increasing synergistic efficacy in shortening the course of treatment and few adverse effects in treatment of skin diseases with Rehabilitation therapy. Expanding the rehabilitation methods in clinical trials could open a new window into the inhibition and treatment strategies of skin diseases.
