Barriers of Achievement of Population Rejuvenation Policy of Iran from Viewpoint of Health Center Personnel of Isfahan and Their Attitude about Its Outcomes

Abstract

Background: Current population policy of Iran is based on increasing fertility rate and attitude of Health Center Personnel (HCP) as effect on the quality of their services. The present study has been conducted to assess the barriers of achievement of current population policy of Iran from viewpoint of HCP of Isfahan and their attitude about its outcomes. Methods: This cross sectional descriptive analytic study was conducted on 713 HCP working in health centers of Isfahan in1400. Data was gathered using a three part questionnaire including: Demographic characteristics, viewpoints of HCP about obstacles of achievement of current population policy of Iran, and their attitude about Its Outcomes. Findings: The barriers of achievement of current population policy of Iran from viewpoint of HCP were both socio-economic factors and individual ones. However, socio-economic factors were more significant than individual ones. Most of them had negative attitude (68.3) and only 8.5 had positive attitude. Conclusion: Most of health center personnel believe that socio-economic factors were the main barriers of achievement of current population policy of Iran. Also, most of them had negative attitude towards current population policy. It is necessary to design and perform some interventions to resolve socio-economical barriers and modify the attitude of HCP. © 2026, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences(IUMS). All rights reserved.
