Abstract
We read with great interest the recently published article by Karimoei et al evaluating the association between apolipoprotein E (ApoE) polymorphism and diabetic nephropathy (DN) in a selected population of Iranian patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).1 DN is the main cause of end-stage renal disease which affects approximately 35% of patients with DM
