Abstract

Although a patent foramen ovale (PFO) has been suggested as a risk factor for recurrent strokes, many stroke patients with PFOs have another source of emboli that remains unidentified if the PFO is considered the only embolic source. We report a case of stroke due to emboli from an aortic aneurysm with a concomitant PFO.
