Abstract

Background: It is recommended by American college of Ob&Gyn2013, depending on the available tests, physicians should determine which methods meet the needs of patient in the best way. Dueto our new governmental screening protocol in Iran, different Triple and Qadry tests are done widely to recognize chromosomal abnormalities of fetus. Present study has been done with the purpose of abnormal results comparative analysis of Triple and Qadry tests with Amniocentesis, and determining Maternal and fetal outcomes. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study, which has been performed in Isfahan in 2012-2015. Pregnant women age of >= 16, single pregnancy, gestational age 15-20 weeks with Positive Triple or Qadry tests, completed informed consent and were entered the study. Then maternal serum markers including AFP, HCG, Unconjugated Estriol, and inhibin-A were measured by blood tests. Results: 4.4 of cases suffered from Down syndrome fetus, 14.8 cases had pregnancy complications, 26 women had genetic risk factors. Theresult of T1 test of 45 persons were more than 0.004, with sensitivity=0.957. Bloodfactor average of T21 in positive Amniocentesis was 0.7976, and in negative amniocentesiswas 0.0208, (P=0.001). T18 and Down syndrome test were positive in 5 subjects (sensitivity=0.111). Conclusion: The results of T21 test showed that the sensitivity of this test in assessing down risk is very high so that very few cases remained non-recognized by this test. Therefore,(T21) is very strong in recognizing possible cases. It should be noted that the amount of T21 tests in down fetus is significantly more than healthy fetus.
